Natalie and Jonathan’s wedding followed on the 13th December at Queens’ College, Cambridge. The day was especially important for Natalie as she studied here as a student. I really enjoyed taking the portraits of Natalie and Jonathan around the grounds, Natalie looked so elegant in her dress and Jonathan cut a very dashing look in tails.
The wedding of Louise and Dan followed Natalie and Jonathan’s at All Saint’s Church in Chigwell Row on 20th December. Their reception followed at Channels Golf Club in Chelmsford. Louise and Dan’s wedding was the first wedding I have photographed in snow for a number of years although it was bitterly cold the low winter light was sumptuous and the blanket of snow complimented Louise’s dress beautifully.
My last wedding to photograph of 2009 was on Boxing Day! Nicky and Alan chose to marry at Hanbury Manor. Their ceremony was in the Library in front of a roaring log fire and their reception was in the conservatory. It was so Christmassy! Everybody had a wonderful day. We chose t take the bridal portraits of Nicky and Alan inside as the rooms and panelling around Hanbury Manor lended themselves to a Christmas Wedding. Nicky Looked simply exquisite in her wedding dress and was helped all the way by her flower girl Ella!
Februarys’ meeting at The London Portrait Group will be slightly different. Respected portrait photographers, Peter Dyer, Len Dance and Saraya Cortaville will all be available to give constructive advice on how to improve your portraiture. You will have the opportunity to approach all of the above throughout the evening for an informal critique on a one to one basis (please bring no more than three images). As well as this we also have John King of Border Frames attending, John will be available for any advice on sales and marketing you may need, he is a regular speaker for the LPG, BIPP and MPA. Hopefully the evening will answer any photographic or sales related questions you have for the year ahead.
