There can be no better way to remember a glorious Ashridge Wedding than with beautiful photography presented in one of the world’s finest wedding album’s. Rachel and Andrew did just that. They chose a gorgeous Queensberry Feature wedding album finished in a classic chocolate leather which complimented their choice of ivory mounts. Their photographs were mounted to matching ivory pages. The overall effect is stunningly beautiful. I am sure their investment will bring them many years of happiness.

I have just finished editing the photographs from Linda and Robert’s beautiful wedding at Ashridge. It was a fabulous day, the rain held off just long enough for their guests to watch Robert make the most spectacular of arrivals via helicopter! Linda’s dream was also met as her father was able to walk her down the aisle, he was so proud! During the ceremony there were a few chuckles as the grandfather clock started chiming 12 noon just as the Best Man was doing his reading.

Later on a jazz band played for Linda and Robert to start the dancing.

Ivan was delighted to come away from Wednesday’s meeting of the London & Home Counties Region of the Master Photographers Association with three Awards for Excellence, two in the Commercial and Industrial section, which were taken for our regular client, North City Triumph and one in the Classical Wedding section which was taken at Alison and Nick’s recent wedding at Ashridge.

Here is a small selection of images from Alison and Nick’s beautiful wedding, which took place on Saturday, at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Rickmansworth, before going on to Ashridge for their wedding reception.

Alison looked simply beautiful in her fitted dress, with Nick being the last to lay eyes on her! He dutifully followed the Priest’s instructions to the letter in refraining to look round while she made her way down the aisle, just incase it brought bad luck. He need not have worried, everybody had the most wonderful day, even a very slight shower on the way to church soon cleared and we enjoyed an afternoon of sun for their wedding photographs at Ashridge, where all enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast and reception into the early hours. I must thank Joanne and all the staff at Ashridge, their service and help on the day was simply first class.

Here are some images from Alison and Nick’s pre wedding portraits we took recently at Ashridge. We had a brisk walk around Ashridge’s fantastic grounds choosing some spots to use on their forth coming wedding day, before going inside to take a few more photographs on the spectacular staircase.

Rachel and Andrew

Here is a sneak preview of Rachel and Andrew’s wedding at Ashridge. The weather was not so good but we had plenty of scope to take some beautiful images inside and just under Ashridge’s fabulous arches. Rachel wore a beautiful lace gown while Andrew looked just the part in a dark blue suit. Rachel was given away by her father after making her entrance via the spectacular sweeping staircase into Ashridge’s Great Hall.

Rachel and Andrew Engagement Portraits at Ashridge

I am really looking forward to Rachel and Andrew’s wedding on Saturday at Ashridge. We took these portraits a few weeks ago, it was freezing but we still enjoyed a quick walk around Ashridge’s beautiful grounds before warming up inside with a coffee! Hopefully Saturday will be warmer. Here are a few images from the Engagement portraits.

Here are some of my personal images of Ashridge, one of my favourite wedding venues. I took these earlier this week whilst the snow was still fresh and crunchy under foot. It is so nice to just walk around the grounds and admire the simply stunning architecture and gardens. Monday was so quiet all I could hear was the freshly fallen snow crunching as I walked and the occasional scurry of the Muntjac deer running around.

Simple, Beautiful, Timeless.

Here is a sneak preview from Claire and Jonathan’s Wedding at Ashridge. I had to post some of these images from what has to be one of the most spectacular venues around to marry at. Unfortunately the weather was not what we had hoped for with the rain getting gradually worse as the morning progressed. Fortunately it did break as the Ceremony ended, just long enough for us to take some portraits and group photographs outside. The weather certainly didn’t dampen any spirits on the day, everybody had a wonderful time and partied well into the night.

The weather could have been better but at least the rain broke long enough for us to take some photographs outside before the Wedding Breakfast

..... even if it was windy!

I love this stair case!
