Daniella in posing at the brook in Epping Forest

Here is a sneak preview of Sarah’s Family portrait session in which we took over the weekend in Epping Forest, just near to Baldwins Hill in Loughton. I first met Sarah and Anis when I photographed their wedding last November at The Manor of Groves. Ever since Sarah has been keen to have a less formal portrait session of her family. We all had some fun squishing through the mud and the photos look fabulous! Here are a few of my favourite.

Althea & Harry Portrait Session in Epping Forest

I had a lovely time catching up with Althea and Harry on Sunday Morning while I took some new life style portraits of them in Epping Forest. It had been some three years since we last saw each other which was when I photographed their wedding at Harold Wood Methodist Church and Friern Manor Country House Hotel. in the summer of 2008.

The time certainly flew by as we were chatting and taking pictures. It didn’t even seem that cold!

Large Feature Frame

I have just finished preparing Sarah and Anis’s Large Feature Frames which they ordered from their wedding just before Christmas. This was the largest of the collection they ordered and was actually an after thought at the viewing! I think it looks spectacular. The image shows Anis placing Sarah’s wedding ring on her finger. Printed in Black and White with a off white bevel cut mount and sumptuous black moulding this image will take pride of place on their white bedroom wall. Sarah and Anis where married at Bishops Stortford Register Office and had their wedding reception at The Manor Of Groves in High Wych

Claudia Davis at Woodridden Stables

I recently had the fun commission of photographing Miss Claudia Davis with Knightwood Gigio, affectionately known as Jenny. The session at Woodridden Stables lasted an hour and flew by. Here are a few of my favorite images.

Here are a selection of images from a recent Fashion style shoot for an eighteenth birthday party. I thought it was a fantastic way to celebrate and remember a special birthday. We decided to do something a little “off the wall” for this shoot and use our Ellinchrom Ranger battery operated lighting units in local woodland. As you can see the results are very dramatic. More information on our portraiture can be found here.

Queensberry 9 X 9 inch Feature Parents Album

Here are some images of a few small feature albums we have recently completed for a client. I thought I would post these as people often ask for a beautiful way to display a collection of photographs from a special moment in life. These smaller Queensberry albums can be finished in the same wide  choice of fabrics and leathers as their larger versions. They make perfect albums for parent’s to remember their child’s wedding. I photographed these albums along with my families vintage Leica so the size can be compared with photographs of larger feature albums we posted here before.

These albums are reason enough why couples who are looking for simply the most beautiful way to remember their wedding day should look very closely for photographers, like us, who offer Queensberry Albums.

Family Composite

Here are some images from a recent home portrait session I took in Loughton. We all had a fabulous time taking the photographs which was a birthday present for Dad. My favourite is the composite image of the pillow fight, which was great fun to photograph and shows how portraiture can capture some fun and spontaneity around the family home. The Summer holidays would not be complete with an adventure in the local woods! The Newman family had asked me to photograph them a few weeks previously and while discussing their session we decided to take the photographs at Connaught Waters. When the morning of their session came around, the sun was shining and the light was near perfect with pockets shooting through the trees picking out Harry’s blonde hair superbly. Here are a selection of their images.
